WASHINGTON Republicans who were the most vocal in urging their followers to come to Washington on Jan. 6 to try to reverse President Donald J. Trump’s loss, pushing to overturn the election and stoking the grievances that prompted the deadly Capitol riot, have profited handsomely in its aftermath, according to new campaign data.

The executive committee of the opposition party Indian National Congress, the Congress Working Committee (CWC), has accused Narendra Modi government of colossal mismanagement of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. It said that despite sufficient warning from experts and examples of several European and South East Asian countries, the government failed to prepare itself to handle the second wave of the pandemic.

She also stressed the importance of RT-PCR testing to combat Covid-19 spread in Uttar Pradesh Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday over the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, describing him as the “pilot who had his photo plastered on boarding passes only to press the eject button during an emergency”.
The Congress-led opposition has been criticising the government over its handling of the pandemic and the vaccination drive, while the Centre has maintained that its timely steps have been instrumental in fighting Covid-19.
